Old Forge Ambulance has been providing emergency medical care since 1947. Ambulance operations in New York State are not deemed essential services. Even though current legislation is now trying to deem EMS an essential service, non-profit organizations like ours struggle to receive grant funding to help operate & serve our communities. 5 regional volunteer ambulance corps over the last 3 years have closed operations due to lack of funding and we do not want to be one of them.

We are continuously trying to better serve our community during critical times. While we are actively pursuing new ways to educate our community for emergency situations and bring resources to our rural areas, we are running our of space to operate and do exactly that.

It was determined that a new building would better serve our agency and community through not just housing our vehicles, but offering housing to our hired professionals along with space for meetings, drills, and office for our board members.
