Ambulance Fund
Dedicated to the purchase of a new ambulance to provide reliable services. The cost of a new ambulance (without equipment) is approximately $300,000.
Building Fund
With both the Old Forge Fire Department and the OFVAC outgrowing available space in the currently shared firehall, the need to build our own facility has become necessary. In September of 2020, the membership of the Corps voted to buy the Muffin Patch property located on Route 28 next to DiOrios IGA. With frontage on Main Street, as well as a path direct to Pullman Avenue, the location gives volunteers a four-way exit to respond to calls. This building will not only provide necessary storage for our equipment, but house the paid Advanced Life Support (ALS) personnel and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's) that so graciously give their time.
General Fund
The need for an Ambulance General Fund arises from the financial requirements of operating and maintaining ambulance services: Operational Costs, Staffing, Training, Community Outreach and Education, Emergency Preparedness. This ensures the sustainability and effectiveness of the service.
Lifeline Fund
Crucial outreach program designed to provide a rapid request for medical assistance.
